Wasika Privacy Policy

Effective: 22 October 2026

Wasika is a free email app made by Kuvarpay Limited ("we"). This policy explains what Wasika does with your information. Questions: privacy.wasika@kuvarsend.com.

How Wasika works

Wasika connects to the email accounts you add (IMAP or POP3) through a server we run, the Wasika relay. The relay signs in to your mail server for you, fetches the messages you look at, sends the messages you write, and alerts your phone when new mail arrives. Your mail stays on your own mail server.

What we store, and why

On the Wasika relay, for each phone:

We do not store your mail otherwise: messages are read from your mail server when you open them.

On your phone, Wasika keeps copies of the lists and messages you have opened (so the app opens quickly and works offline), the names and addresses of people you have exchanged mail with (for address suggestions), and your settings.

Notifications

New-mail alerts are delivered through Apple Push Notification service (iPhone) and Firebase Cloud Messaging by Google (both platforms). Each alert carries the sender's name and address, the subject and the first lines of the message. To show a sender's logo, the relay fetches the icon published on the sender's website (only the website address is used).

What we do not do

Security

Connections between the app and the relay use HTTPS. Mail passwords are encrypted on the relay, and the relay runs in a restricted environment on a server we operate.

Deleting your data

You can also ask us to delete your data at privacy.wasika@kuvarsend.com.

Children

Wasika is not directed at children under 13.
